Participant Applications Due: 05/10/2024

Earn and Learn program participants work 20 hours per week for 7 weeks earning an hourly wage at local area non profits, community organizations, small businesses, and more! Work experiences available through our Earn and Learn program range from developing culinary skills to working in medical facilities. Employ Milwaukee and partners also host career developement opportunities for hands-on career exposure for in-demand fields! During on-boarding, participants will learn basic work readiness skills and basic financial literacy skills which include, but are not limited to:

  • Communication skills
  • Punctuality
  • Professional conduct 
  • Money management
  • Conflict resolution 
  • Time management

To apply, just fill out our online application and be ready to submit one identification document, one residency document, and one income document when asked.

Eligible Documents Documents must not be expired May use parent/guardian document if participant under 18 - address must match address used on application Provide guardian proof of income unless participant over 18 and household size of 1 and/or head of household. Make sure document has name.

School Picture ID with Date of Birth - under 18 only Any mail or utility bill Public assistance statement - within last 6 months - we cannot accept a picture of EBT card
Immunization Record - Under 18 only - can be found here Paystub - within last 6 months

If accepted, you will also need to provide documents to satisfy an I9.
